Au revoir young SIMers

Peter and Josh preparing to leave Malawi for either end of the globe!

Our ‘Calling Young SIMers’ page is a little different this month as we are saying au revoir to two of our older young SIMers! Peter Wheatley and Josh Hammond recently graduated from St Andrew’s International School in Blantyre and will be going to university in far-flung places.

Peter, with dad and mum Steven and Jo, and sister Sarah, will be visiting the UK and when the family returns to Malawi he will stay behind.

He is awaiting his  A-Level results to see if he will be at Brunel University near London or the University of Salford near Manchester.

The Blantyre team, amd friends, at the farewell breakfast for Peter and Josh

Josh, after Home Assignment in the UK with Mike and Jacky and brother Chris, will return to Malawi for a brief time before he goes to University in Australia – destination not yet confirmed.

Both Peter and Josh will be greatly missed by all of us here, but especially by the young SIMers who seem to delight in using both of them as human climbing frames!

At the farewell breakfast ‘Uncle’ Nico Bontenbal said a few words about the two young men and commended the two young men to their future with words of Solomon, in Ecclesiastes 9:7-10 and 11:9-10

Please pray for Peter and Josh, and their families, as they start the next chapter of their life journey.
